Cinnamon Flop (Amish recipe)
List of Ingredients
1 c sugar
2 c flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp melted butter
1 c milk
Topping:
flour
brown sugar
cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 and grease two 9 inch round cake pans or pie pans.
Sift the dry ingredients together.
Add butter and milk, then stir until well blended.
Pour into prepared pans.
Sprinkle tops with a little bit of flour, then brown sugar, followed by cinnamon.
Slice thin pieces of butter and push them into the dough.
Bake for 30minutes.
Notes:
Recipe does not specify amounts for the toppings or the butter. I used approximately 1/4 c. The butter is supposed to make holes and make the top get gooey as it bakes. I didn't find it gooey, so maybe more butter would be necessary. It was quite rich and the topping was good.
Due to allergies, I cannot use brown sugar so used granulated sugar.
