    Blueberry Crumble

    Source of Recipe

The Book of Great Breakfasts and Brunches

    Recipe Introduction

This could easily be a dessert. Absolutely scrumptious and rich!

    List of Ingredients

    1 quart blueberries
    2 tsp lemon juice
    1/3 c sugar
    1/3 c dark brown sugar
    4 tbsp butter, cut up
    1/2 c flour
    1 1/4 c quick cooking oats

    Recipe

    Preheat to 350.
Grease an 8 inch baking dish.
Place berries in baking dish and sprinkle the lemon juice over the top.
    Sprinkle sugar over berries.
Combine brown sugar, flour and oats and stir.
Cut in the butter until it looks like crumbs.
    Sprinkle over the berries.
Bake for 40 minutes or until the top is golden and the berries are bubbling around the edges.
Serve with yogurt, sour cream or heavy cream.

    6 servings.
Can be prepared a day in advance

    Notes -
I used 16 oz frozen blueberries, thawed.
I did not drain them but added 1 tbsp to the sugar sprinkled on top. It was great, the right amount and thickess of sauce.
I used granulated sugar in place of the brown sugar.
