    This Farm Journal recipe goes together quickly and tastes great.

    List of Ingredients




    3 c sifted flour
    3 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 c butter
    1 1/2 c sugar
    4 eggs
    1 tsp vanilla
    1 c milk

    topping:
    2/3 c sugar
    2 tbsp butter
    2 tbsp flour
    1 tsp cinnamon
    1 c chopped walnuts

    Recipe



    Preheat to 350
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
    Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Add vanilla and beat well.
    Add dry ingredients alternately with milk.
    Spread half the batter in a greased 9 x 13 baking pan.

    Topping: combine sugar, butter, flour, cinnamon and nuts.
    Mix well.
    Sprinkle half the topping over the batter.

    Spread remaining batter over topping, then sprinkle remaining topping over all.

    Bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until done.

    16 servings

    Notes:
    original recipe topping called for 1 c packed brown sugar.

    I used large eggs, unsalted butter and reduced fat milk.
