Hearty Oatmeal Waffles

Very filling waffles! Not as light as buttermilk but a nice change.
List of Ingredients
4 eggs
1 3/4 c buttermilk
1 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 c flour, sifted
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/3 c vegetable oil (or bacon drippings)
1 tbsp honey
dash of cinnamon
1 c quick-cooking oatmealRecipe
Beat eggs until light.
Add all other ingredients except oatmeal; beat until well blended.
Stir in oatmeal.
Cook on preheated waffle iron.
Makes 8 to 10 waffles, depending on the size of the waffle iron.
Notes:
I used large eggs, buttermilk powder and water and vegetable oil.
Recipe states this batter may also be used for pancakes; I have not tried it that way.
