Recipe Introduction
This was a little bland. I added smoked paprika and that helped.
List of Ingredients
2 tbsp oil
2 medium onions, coarsely chopped
2 medium peppers (green and/or red) chopped
1 lb lean ground beef
1 tbsp chili powder
4 oz sliced mushrooms
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
14 1/2 oz can stewed tomatoes with juice
6 oz elbow macaroni
grated Parmesan, to taste
minced garlic*
smoked paprika
Recipe
Saute the onion and peppers in the oil. set aside
Cook hamburger; add peppers and onions.
Add chili powder, mushrooms, salt, pepper and tomatoes.
Simmer.
Cook macaroni according to package.
In a casserole dish, combine all ingredients.
Bake at 350 for 18 minutes.
Top with grated Parmesan. Bake 2 minutes.
Serve.
Notes:
I added minced garlic and smoked paprika, to taste.
Omitted the salt.
