    Chocolate Chip and Sour Cream Brownies



    1/2 c butter, softened
    2 c packed light brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 c sour cream
    1 tsp vanilla
    1/2 c unsweetened cocoa
    1/2 tsp baking soda
    1/4 tsp salt
    2 c flour
    1 c (6 oz) semisweet chocolate chips
    Powdered sugar


    Recipe






    Preheat to 350. Butter a 9 x 13 pan.

    Cream butter and brown sugar together until well blended. Add egg, sour cream and vanilla, mixing until light.

    Add cocoa, baking soda, and salt, beat until smooth.

    Blend in flour and mix well.

    Stir in chocolate chips. Spread in prepared pan. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until center springs back when touched
    lightly.

    Cool in pan on wire rack. Sift powdered sugar over top.

    Makes about 30 brownies.

    Notes:
    These are a slightly bittersweet, cake-like brownie. I sifted the flour. Because of allergies, I am not able to use
    brown sugar so used granulated sugar, but they were still very good.
