    Hot Fudge Pudding Cake #3

    Hersheys Make it Chocolate!

    Recipe Introduction

    This is so delicious! We top it with either ice cream or whipped cream. A small piece is quite enough because it is very rich.

    List of Ingredients

    Cake:
    3/4 c sugar
    1 c flour
    3 tbsp cocoa
    2 tsp baking powder
    1/4 tsp salt
    1/2 c milk
    1/3 c butter, melted
    1 1/2 tsp vanilla

    Topping:
    1/2 c sugar
    1/2 c light brown sugar
    4 tbsp cocoa

    1 1/4 c hot water

    Recipe

    Preheat to 350.
    Combine dry ingredients for cake; mix.
    Add milk, melted butter and vanilla.
    beat mixture until smooth.
    pour into greased 8 or 9 inch square pan.

    Combine dry ingredients for topping.
    Sprinkle over the cake batter.

    Pour the hot water carefully over the top - do not stir.

    Bake for 40 minutes or until center is almost set.
    Let stand 15 minutes before serving.
    Spoon cake and then sauce from the bottom of the pan.

    8 to 10 servings.

    Notes:
    I used unsalted butter, low fat milk and a 9 inch square pan.
    I substituted granulated sugar for the brown sugar in the topping and used about 3/4 c total for both sugars listed in the topping portion of the recipe.
    I baked for 40 minutes.

    This reheats well in the microwave.
