Absolutely delicious and almost addictive!
These are simple to make and have a lot of good-for-you ingredients.
List of Ingredients
1/2 c butter, softened
1/2 c shortening
1 c sugar
1 c packed brown sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
2 eggs
2 tbsp milk
2 tsp vanilla
2 c whole wheat flour
2 c quick cooking or regular rolled oats
1 c chopped nuts
1 c raisins or other snipped dried fruit
1/4 c toasted wheat germRecipe
Using an electric mixer and a very large mixing bowl, beat butter and shortening for 30 seconds. Add both sugars, baking powder and baking soda. Beat until ingredients are combined.
Add eggs, mik and vanilla and beat well. Beat in as much of the whole wheat flour as possible with the mixer.
Stir the rest in by hand.
Stir in the nuts, oats, raisins and wheat germ.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets, spacing the cookies 2 inches apart.
Bake at 375 for about 8 minutes or until the cookies are lightly golden brown.
Cool on a wire rack.
Makes 66 cookies.

Notes:
I baked on parchment paper and silpats.
I had to bake 8 to 9 minutes.
