Nothing can make the mouth water like warm chocolate chip cookies!


List of Ingredients





2 1/4 c flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 c butter, softened
3/4 c sugar
3/4 c brown sugar, firmly packed
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
2 c (12 oz) semi sweet chocolate chips
1 c chopped nuts, optional


Recipe




Preheat oven to 375.

Combine dry ingredients in a small bowl and mix.

In a large bowl, beat the butter, sugars and vanilla tgoether until creamy.
Add eggs one at at time and beat well after each.
Add dry ingredients gradually.
Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until golden.
Cool 2 minutes, then remove to wire racks to cool completely.

Makes about 5 dozen cookies.

Notes:
I use unsalted butter, large eggs and substitute granulated sugar for the brown sugar.
I bake on parchment paper.
