    Texas Cake (or Chocolate Sheet Cake)

    List of Ingredients

    Texas Cake

    Cake:
    2 c flour
    2 c sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 sour cream
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 tsp baking soda

    1 c butter
    4 tbsp cocoa
    1 c water

    Frosting:
    4 tbsp cocoa
    1/2 c butter
    6 tbsp milk
    approximately 2 1/4 c powdered sugar
    1 tsp vanilla


    Recipe



    Preheat to 350.

    Mix together the flour, sugar, eggs, sour cream, salt and baking soda. Mix well.

    Bring the butter, cocoa and water to a boil in a saucepan.

    Add boiling ingredients to mixed ingredients and blend well.

    Spread in greased jelly roll pan and bake for 20 to 30 minutes.

    Remove from oven and allow to cool.

    Frosting:

    Bring cocoa, butter and milk to a boil. Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients, adding enough
    powdered sugar to reach desired spreading consistency. Spread warm frosting on cooled cake.
