Recipe Introduction
Good to eat and so fast to fix. I had to adapt it a little bit to fit my family's allergies.
List of Ingredients
2 c elbow macaroni
1 lb extra lean ground beef
20 baby carrots, enough to make 1 c sliced
1 large green pepper, (1 1/2 c chopped)
1 large onion (1 c chopped)
14 1/2 oz can diced tomatoes
1 beef boullion cube
1/4 c water
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp seasoned salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp hot pepper sauce, optionalRecipe
Brown ground beef.
Cook macaroni in hot water as directed on package.
Drain fat from meat, then add carrots, green peppers, and onion.
Add remaining ingredients to beef, mix well and allow to simmer.
When macaroni is cooked, drain water and combine with meat sauce.
Serve.
Notes:
Original recipe called for 1/4 c Worcestershire sauce in place of the beef boullion cube and water.
Original recipe called for 1 1/2 tsp seasoned salt.
I used Penzey's 4S salt for the seasoned salt.
I used about 1 1/2 lb ground beef.
I did not use baby carrots, but sliced regular carrots to equal 1 cup.
I did not use hot pepper sauce.
