    So simple, so delicious!

    List of Ingredients




    1 1/4 c softened butter or margarine
    2 c sugar
    2 eggs
    2 tsp vanilla
    2 c flour
    3/4 c Hershey's cocoa
    1 tsp baking soad
    1/2 tsp salt
    if desired, 1 c finely chopped nuts

    Recipe



    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add eggs and vanill; mix well.
    Add dry ingredients and mix into creamed mixture.
    Add nuts, if desired.
    Drop by mounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets.
    Bake for 8 or 9 minutes at 350.
    Do not overbake, the cookies will be soft and look puffy, but will flatten when cool.
    Cool on cookie sheet about 1 to 2 minutes, until they are set enough to be moved to a wire rack.

    Makes about 3 to 4 dozen, depending on the size of scoops.

    NOTES -
    I use my cookie scoop and it makes a nice size for ice cream sandwiches. I wrap them in plastic and freeze them, storing them in an airtight container. Then fill with ice cream as wanted.
