    Source of Recipe

    Dad's Own Cookbook

    Recipe Introduction

Very quick and simple but quite good.

    List of Ingredients

    1 tbsp butter
    1 can condensed mushroom soup
    6 medium potatoes
6 pork chops, about 1 inch thick
    1 tsp garlic powder
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/2 tsp dried thyme

    Recipe

    Preheat oven to 350.
    peel and thinly slice potatoes
Prepare 12x8 baking dish with butter
Combine mushroom soup and 1/2 can of water; mix well.
Place half of the potatoes in the baking dish.
Place pork chops on top of potatoes - do not overlap chops.
    Top with remaining potatoes.
Sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, pepper and thyme.
    Pour mushroom soup/water over all.
If the soup does not almost reach the second layer of potatoes, add a little more water.

Bake at 350 for 1 hour. or until potatoes are cooked.

    Notes:
I omitted the butter and sprayed the baking dish.
I added Italian green beans in with the potatoes.
