    Saucy Steak Skillet

    List of Ingredients




    1 lb frozen boneless round steak, cut into bite size pieces
    1/4 c flour
    1 tbsp oil
    1 large onion, chopped (about 1 c)
    12 oz can whole potatoes, drained and fluid reserved
    1/4 c catsup
    1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
    2 tsp bell pepper flakes
    1 tsp instant beef bouillon
    1 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp dried marjoram leaves
    1/4 tsp pepper
    10 oz pkg frozen Italian green beans, optional
    1 jar (2 oz) sliced pimentos, drained

    Recipe



    Coat steak pieces with flour and pound it into the meat.
    Brown in oil in a 10 inch skillet.
    Push beef to the side and add onion, cooking and stirring in oil until tender. Drain.
    Add enough water to reserved potato liquid to make 1 cup fluid.
    Mix potato liquid with catsup, Worcestershire sauce, pepper flakes, instant bouillon, salt, marjoram, and pepper.
    Pour onto beef and onion.
    Heat to boiling, then reduce heat and simmer until beef is tender, about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours.
    Add potatoes, beans and pimentos.
    Heat to boiling, then reduce heat, cover and simmer untl beans are tender, 10 to 15 minutes.

    NOTES:
    This recipe belonged to my DH's aunt. She was a great cook and a wonderful person.
