    Tea Muffins

    List of Ingredients




    Tea Muffins


    1/2 c butter or margarine, softened
    3/4 c sugar
    1 egg
    2 c flour
    2 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp cinnamon
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 c milk
    1/4 c firmly packed brown sugar
    2 tbsp finely chopped walnuts

    Recipe






    Cream butter well. Gradually add sugar, beating until mixture is light and
    fluffy. Add egg and mix well.

    Combine dry ingredients, add to creamed mixture alternately with milk,
    beginning and ending with dry ingredients.

    Spoon into greased muffin pans and fill half full.

    Combine brown sugar and walnuts; sprinkle evenly over the batter. Bake at
    350 for 20 minutes. makes 2 dozen.

    Notes: I did not find there was enough batter to fill the muffin cups half full as
    instructed. It might be better to make 18 rather than the 24 as directed.
    I used butter not margarine. I used granulated sugar rather than brown sugar
    because of allergies.
