    Cook time: 55-60 minutes

    Ingredients:
    1 recipe for double crust 9-inch pie
    1/3 c. brown sugar, NOT packed
    3 T. cornstarch
    2 teas. cinnamon
    1 teas. apple pie spices
    1/4 teas. salt
    6 c. sliced,peeled Granny Smith apples
    1/2 c. Maple-flavored syrup or pure Maple syrup
    1/4 c. whipping cream- NOT whipped
    1/2 teas. vanilla
    6 dabs soft butter
    ---
    Maple syrup
    Granulated sugar


    Recipe




    Make pie crust for double crust pie. Line pie plate with one crust;set aside.

    Filling:

    In a large bowl. stir together the sugar,cornstarch,salt, cinnamon and pie spice.
    Add the apple slices and gently toss to coat evenly.
    Fill pie crust with apple mixture.
    In a small bowl combine Maple syrup, wipping cream and vanilla. Pour mixture over apple mixture.
    Dot apples with dabs of butter.
    Cover pie with remaining crust-flute to seal edges;cut or poke steam vents all over top; or make a latice top for pie,sealing strips to crust edge.
    Brush top crust with Maple syrup and sprinkle with sugar. Bake pie in 375^ for 25 minutes.
    Reduce heat to 350^ and bake 25-30 minutes more or until apples are tender.
