    Batter-up Beef Stew

    This sounds like a great way to used leftover stew.

    List of Ingredients






    1/4 c butter
    3/4 c flour
    1 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp salt
    3/4 c milk
    1/2 to 1 c grated Cheddar cheese
    1 Tbsp minced onion
    1 Tbsp sugar
    1 1/2 lb can beef stew

    Recipe





    Preheat to 350.
    Place butter in the bottom of a 2 quart casserole dish and place in oven so butter will melt.
    Combine flour, baking powder, salt, milk, cheese, minced onion and sugar; mix well.
    Pour mixed ingredients over melted butter.
    Carefully pour the beef stew over this batter but try to avoid the edges. DO NOT STIR.
    Bake for 1 hour.
    Serves 6.
    This recipe may be doubled.
