Butter Frosting

Mmm.. nothing like a good butter frosting!


List of Ingredients




6 tbsp butter or margarine
4 1/2 to 4 3/4 c powdered sugar
1/4 c milk
1 1/2 tsp vanilla

Recipe



Place butter in a large mixing bowl and beat until light and fluffy.
Slowly add about half of the powdered sugar, mixing well as sugar is added.
Add the milk and vanilla, then mix.
Gradually add the remainign powdered sugar and if necessary, additional milk to obtain spreading consistency.
Will frost top and sides of 2 layers, 8 or 9 inches.

For a light chocolate frosting, add 2 tbsp powdered cocoa.
