    A different use for canned French Fried onions.

    List of Ingredients




    1 deep dish pie shell, 9 inch
    1 can, 3 1/2 oz, French fried onions
    1 1/2 c American cheese, shredded
    4 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 2/3 c milk
    1/2 tsp salt
    dash of cayenne pepper

    Recipe



    Preheat oven and a cookie sheet to 325.
    Reserve 1/2 c of the French fried onions.
    Sprinkle remaining onions on the bottom of the pie shell.
    Sprinkle cheese over the onions.
    Combine eggs, milk, salt and cayenne pepper.
    Pour over cheese.
    Place on the preheated cookie sheet and bake for 45 minutes.
    Sprinkle the reserved French fried onions around the edge of the pie, then bake for 5 to 10 more minutes or until a knife tests clean.
    Let stand at room temperature for 10 minutes, then serve.
    6 servings.
