    Recipe Introduction

It will be great to make granola bars at home. Glenda posted this recipe at Mimi's.

Glenda's comments: These are very good granola bars! I may never buy pre-packed ones again!

    List of Ingredients

    Granola Bars

This recipe is so easy, tasty and you can easily adapt it to your own liking! Use any combination of dried fruit, chocolate chips, or anything else you might like in a granola bar.
    T & T Granola Bars

3 cups of quick cooking oats
1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz. size)
    2 tablespoons melted butter
    1 cup of flaked coconut
    1 cup of sunflower seeds
1 cup of white chocolate chips
1/2 cup of dried apricots, chopped

    Recipe

Preheat over to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 13 pan. (I also lined the pan with parchment paper for easier removal of bars once baked).

In a large bowl, mix together the oats, sweeted condensed milk, butter, coconut, sunflower seeds, white choc. chips and apricots with your hands until well blended. Press flat into the prepared pan. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, depending on how crunchy you want them. (Lightly browned just around the edges give you chewy, moist bars). Let cool for 5 minutes, cut into squares with a pizza cutter and then let bars cool completely before serving or storing. For storing, I wrapped the bars in plastic wrap and stored in an air-tight container.

These are very good granola bars! I may never buy pre-packed ones again!
