    Total time: 20 minutes plus chill time


    DOUGH:
    8 oz. pkg. cream cheese,softened
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. margarine,softened
    1 egg, beaten
    ---
    FILLING:
    3 Tlb. margarine
    1/2 lb. mushrooms, minced
    1 lg. onion, minced
    1/4 c. dairy sour cream
    1/2 teas. salt
    1/4 teas. chopped fresh thyme leaves
    2 Tlb. flour


    Recipe




    Dough:
    In your large mixer bowl, beat cream cheese, flour and margarine until smooth; shape into ball.
    Wrap in plastic wrap and chill it for 1 hour.
    Then on a floured surface roll 1/2 the dough 1/8 inch thick; with a 2 1/2 inch floured cookie cutter , cut out as many circles as you can.
    Repeat with other half of dough and gather scraps and continue until all dough is use up.
    Onto one 1/2 of each circle, place a teaspoon of mushroom filling.
    Brush edges of circle with egg; fold dough over filling and press edges together with the tines of a fork to seal well. Prick holes in top. Place on ungreased cookie sheet brush with remaining egg; bake in 450^ oven for 12-14 minutes until golden brown.

    FILLING:
    In a large skillet heat margarine until melted, add mushrooms and onion until tender , about 2-3 minutes-stirring occasionally.
    Stir in sour cream,salt,thyme and flour; mixing until well blended.Fill prepared circles following directions above. Makes about 24-36
