Powdered Sugar Pound Cake

Pound cake is so yummy! Be sure your ingredients are at room temperature before you begin.


List of Ingredients




1 1/2 c butter, room temperature
4 c powdered sugar, sifted
6 eggs, room temperature
3 c sifted flour
1 tsp lemon extract
1 tsp vanila extract

Recipe



Grease and flour a tube pan.
Preheat to 350.
Cream the butter in a large mixing bowl.
One cup at a time, add the sifted powdered sugar. Beat well after each cup is added.
Add eggs one at a time and beat well after each addition.
Add both extracts and mix.
One cup at a time, add flour; mix well.
Pour batter into prepared pan.
Baek in preheated oven for one hour.
cool for 3 to 5 minutes before removing from pan.

If desired, frost.
