    Quick Apple Butter

    Source of Recipe

    grocery store

    Recipe Introduction

This looks so easy and good!

    List of Ingredients

3 lb apples (honey crisp recommended in recipe)
    3/4 c apple cider
    1 tsp cinnamon
    1/2 tsp nutmeg

    Recipe

Peel, core and chop apples (approximately 9)

In a large skillet or Dutch oven, cook apples and cider over medium heat for about 20 minutes, or until apples are tender, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and cool slightly.

Process apples in a food processor or blender until almost smooth with just a few chunks remaining.

Pour apple puree back into skillet and add cinnamon and nutmeg.
Cover over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, uncovered, until apple butter is thick and glossy, about 20 minutes.

Transfer to a jar or airtight container and refrigerate for up to 2 months.
