Southern Pecan Pie

1 cup pecan halves
3 eggs
1 cup dark corn syrup
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/8 teaspoon salt
Recipe
Place pecan halves in a pattern in unbaked pie shell.
Beat eggs slightly and mix in syrup, sugar, butter, vanilla and salt.
Gently pour into unbaked shell over pecans.
Bake 40 to 50 minutes at 350 degrees.
Filling should be slightly less “set” in the center than around the edge of the pie.
