Powdered Sugar Bag


List of Ingredients




2 1/2 c flour
1 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 c butter flavor shortening
1 1/2 c powdered sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 c candy covered chocolate, opt.



Recipe



Preheat to 350.
In large mixing bowl, beat shortening, powdered sugar, egg and vanilla at low speed for 30 seconds.
Scrape sides of bowl, then beat at 1 minute or until light and fluffy. Scrape sides frequently.
Add flour, 1/4 cup at a time and beat at low speed for 20 to 30 seconds after each addition until well mixed.
Mix in candy by hand.
Drop by teaspoonful, 2 inches apart, on ungreased baking sheets.
Lightly greased the bottom of a drinking glass, dip in sugar and then press cookies to a 2 inche diameter.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or unitl lightly browned.
Remove from baking sheets and cool on racks.
