    Scalloped Carrots and Potatoes

    List of Ingredients




    3 c sliced potatoes
    3 c sliced carrots
    1/4 c flour
    1/4 c butter
    2 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
    1/4 tsp nutmeg
    2 c light cream or milk

    Recipe



    Preheat to 400. Grease a 9 x 13 baking dish

    Layer half the potatoes in the baking dish.
    Layer half the carrots on top of the potatoes.
    Sprinkle with half of the flour, salt, pepper and nutmeg.
    Top with 2 tbsp butter.
    Layer remaining potatoes.
    Layer remeaining carrots.
    Layer remaining flour, salt, pepper and nutmeg.
    Top with remaining 2 tbsp butter.
    Pour milk over all.

    Bake 1 hour or until browned and tender.

    6 to 8 servings.

    NOTES:

    The carrots and nutmeg add new flavor to normal scalloped potatoes.
