Scalloped Potatoes

Scalloped Potatoes
6 c raw potatoes, sliced thin
4 tbsp flour
2 1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1 onion, chopped fine
2 1/2 c milk, hot
2 tbsp butter
Recipe
Preheat to 350.
In a buttered baking dish, layer:
potato slices, onion, salt and pepper, flour, then dot with butter.
Repeat layers until all the ingredients are used.
Top with hot milk and bake for 1 to 1/4 hour.
Serves 6.

Note: I added grated cheddar cheese to each layer. I would suggest spicing it up a bit more, depending on taste.
Suggested variations:
-Make a white sauce from the milk, flour and butter. Add 3/4 c grated cheese and pour over potatoes.
-Add 1 c ground ham with each layer.
