    1. 1/2 cup margarine, 1 cup brown sugar, and 1/2 cup syrup: Boil in large saucepan for 5 minutes.
    2. Remove from stove and add: 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1 teaspoon baking soda and 2 cups of oatmeal(quick cooking type): Put in greased 8 inch square pan and bake 8 minutes at 350.
