LAYERED PECAN PIE

Yield: 6 to 8 servings
List of Ingredients
- First layer:
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- dash salt
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon double-strength vanilla or 1 teaspoon regular vanilla
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
- 1 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- Second layer:
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon double-strength vanilla or 1 teaspoon regular vanilla
Instructions
- To prepare first layer: Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
- In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar and salt. Beat until smooth.
- Add egg and vanilla.
- Stir until combined.
- Spoon into pie shell; sprinkle with pecans.
- To prepare second layer: In a meduim bowl, combine eggs, corn syrup, sugar and vanilla.
- Beat well; pour over pecans.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until set.
