PEACH-PEAR PIE

- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoon carnstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon allspice
- 2 1/2 cups sliced peeled fresh peaches
- 2 1/2 cups sliced peeled fresh pears
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 unbaked pie shell (9inch)
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup nutmeg
- 1/4 cup cold butter or oleo
- 1/3 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions
- In a bowl combine sugars, cornstaerch, sinnamon and allspice mix well then set aside.
- Sprinkle peaches and pears with lemon juice.
- Add fruit to dry ingredients toss to coat and then pour into pie shell.
- For streusel combine flour, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Cut in butter until resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in nuts and sprinkle over filling.
- Cover edges with foil and bake at 375 for 1 hour or until bubbly.
