    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
    • 1 cup frimly packed brown sugar
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 2 well beaten eggs
    • 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
    • 2 teaspoons baking powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
    • 2 cups old-fashion or quick-cooking rolled oats, uncooked
    • 1 cup raisins
    • 1 cup coarsely shredded carrots
    • i cup chopped nuts


    Instructions


    1. In a large mixing bowl with an electric mixer, beat butter, brown sugarand granulated sugar until well mixed.
    2. Add eggs; mix well
    3. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, sinnamon and nutmeg
    4. add to butter mixture and mix well.
    5. Stir in oats, raisins, carrots and nuts.
    6. Drop dough by tablespoonful onto ungreased baking sheets.
    7. Flatten slightly.
    8. Bake in a preheated ove at 350 for 25 to 30 minutes or until done.
    9. Transfer to racks and cool.
