    List of Ingredients


    • 12 oz. package semi-sweet morsels, divided
    • 2 tablespoons instant coffee
    • 2 tablespoons boiling water
    • 1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
    • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 cup butter, softened
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    • 1 egg
    • 1/2 cup chopped pecans


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
    2. Melt over hot(not boiling water), 1/2 cup chocolate morsels. Stir until smooth and cool to room temperature.
    3. In small cup, dissolve coffee in boiling water and set aside.
    4. In large bowl, combine butter, sugars, and coffee. Beat until creamy.
    5. Add egg and melted chocolate morsels. Mix well.
    6. Then gradually and flour mixture. Stir in the remaining chocolate morsels and pecans.
    7. Drop by rounded measuring tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
    8. Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Allow to stand 2-3 minutes before removing from cookie sheets; cool completely.
    9. Yield: about 24 three inch cookies.
