    LAYERED BROWNIES

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 package chocolate cake mix
    • 1 cup chopped nuts
    • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
    • 1 egg
    • 2 (14 oz.) cans sweetened condensed milk
    • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
    • 1/8 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla


    Instructions


    1. In a mixing bowl, combine dry cake mix, nuts, oil and eggs. Mix until crumbly.

    2. Set aside 1 1/2 cups for topping.

    3. Press the remaining crumb mixture into a greased 13x9x2 baking pan.

    4. In a saucepan combine milk, chocolate chips and salt. Cook and stir ove low heat until chips are melted.

    5. Stir in vanilla.

    6. Spread evenly in pan.

    7. Sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture.

    8. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.

    9. Cool before cutting.

    10. Yield: 4 dozen
