    YOU MAY DOUBLE OR TRIPLE THE AMOUNTS FOR LARGER PORTIONS.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 slice of bread
    • 1 cup milk
    • 1 egg
    • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
    • Diabetic sugar to your taste


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 350
    2. Butter a small oven-safe dish
    3. Cut and dice bread into small cubes andtoast in oven until bronw and crisp
    4. Beat egg and andd to milk, pour over the the bread
    5. Sprinkle the nutmeg and cinnamon over the top.
    6. Place the dish in a pan of warm water.
    7. Bake until custard is set.
    8. Insert knife into custard, if it comes out clean remover from oven.
    9. Serve warm with a lemon or orange sauce.
    10. Yields 1 serving
