    THE RECIPES IN THIS CATEGORY WERE MY MOTHER-IN-LAWS AND WHEN SHE PASSED AWAY HER LITTLE TIN BOX THAT HELD HER RECIPES WAS GIVEN TO ME SO THIS IS MY WAY TO HONOR HER.......


    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 cup shortning
    • 1/2 cup peanut butter
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 1/2 cup brown sugar
    • 1 egg


    Instructions


    1. sift together and stir in 1 1/4 cups flour, 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, 3/4 teaspoon baking soda, 1/4 teaspoon salt
    2. mix well and chill dough- roll into balls and flatten with sugared fork
    3. place 3inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
    4. Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes
    5. makes 3 dozen
