    SWISS CHEESE AND BACON PIE

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 9-inch pie shell, chilled
    • 1 tablespoon softened butter
    • 12 slices of bacon
    • 4 eggs
    • 2 cups cream
    • 3/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
    • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne
    • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
    • 1/4 pound swiss cheese grated


    Instructions


    1. spread butter on bottom of pie shell
    2. cook bacon and crumble up 6 slices
    3. make bacon curl from other 6 slices
    4. combine eggs, cream, seasoning, mix thoroughly.
    5. Sprinkle crumbled bacon and grated cheese into pie shell
    6. pour in cream mixture.
    7. Bake 425 for 15 minutes
    8. lower heat to 300 for 35 minutes, test with knife
    9. serve at once with bacon curls
