    4 cups rhubarb, cut up
    1/3 cup white sugar
    1/4 cup flour
    2 tablespoons butter
    2 tablespoons mild fat
    1/3 cup brown sugar
    1/2 cup flour
    1/8 teaspoon salt

    Pastry for one 9-inch pie crust








    Recipe



    Pour boiling water over rhubarb and let stand for 5 minutes. Drain.
    Line deep pie plate with pastry.

    Combine white sugar and the 1/4 cup flour with rhubarb and place in pie crust.

    Cream together the butter, fat, brown sugar, salt and 1/2 cup flour. Sprinkle this mixture over top of rhubarb.

    Bake in a preheated 450ºF for 10 minutes, the reduce to 375ºF and bake 20 minutes longer.
