Chocolate Chip Macaroons

1 cup (6-ounce pkg) chocolate chips
2 cups coconut
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
NOTE:- 1 teaspoon grated orange rind may be added with vanilla OR 1/2 teaspoon peppermint may be substituted for vanilla.Recipe
Combine chips, coconut, baking powder and salt. Add flavouring and condensed milk. Mix well.
Drop from teaspoonsful on lightly greased baking sheet and bake in slow oven (325ºF) for about 12 minutes, or until delicately browned.
Makes about 26 macaroons.
