    List of Ingredients


    • 1 pound ground sirloin
    • 1 egg lightly beaten
    • 2 Tablespoons of ketchup
    • 1 Tablespoon worcestershire sauce
    • 1/2 cup bread or cracker crumbs
    • 2 Tablespoons water
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
    • 3 tablespoons chopped onion out of a medium onion
    • flour
    • Sauce;
    • 1 can tomato soup
    • 1 can water
    • Rest of medium onion chopped
    • 1/4 cup green pepper chopped
    • 1/4 cup celery chopped
    • 1 medium tomato, seeded and chopped
    • 2 tablespoons flour
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil


    Instructions


    1. Combine all ingredients for patties except flour (1st 9 ingredients) Mix together and form into 6 plump patties. Roll in flour and brown in hot oil in frying pan. When browned on both sides, remove from pan and drain grease. Add celery,pepper,onion and chopped tomato. Stir. Mix 2 Tablespoons of flour into the can of tomato soup, add to skillet along with can of water. Mix together well and add the steak patties. Let simmer on low about 1 hour, stirring occasionally to keep from sticking. Serves 4 to 6. Tomato gravy goes good on mashed potatoes.
