Hot Fudge Sundae Cake

To make a 13x9 cake pan
List of Ingredients
2 c. ap flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 tb. cocoa
4 tsp. bk pwdr
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
4 tb. oil
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. chopped nuts (opt)
2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. cocoa
3 1/2 c. hot waterRecipe
Heat oven to 350*. In prepared pan (my recipe says ungreased pan, but I always at least spray with cooking spray), stir together flour, sugar, 4 tb. cocoa, bk pwdr and salt. Mix in milk, oil and vanilla with fork till smooth. Stir in nuts. Spread evenly in pan. Sprinkle with brown sugar and 1/2 c. cocoa. Pour hot water over batter. Bake 40 min. Let stand 15 min. before serving. You will end up with a brownie like cake in it's own hot fudge sauce. We scoop out a serving, top with ice cream, and spoon the sauce over top! YUM!
Variations:
omit nuts and add marshmallows
omit nuts, add 1/2 coconut and 1/2 almonds
omit nuts, add raisins
omit nuts, stir in 1/2 peanut butter and 1/2 peanuts
