German Fruit Cake

List of Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter or oleo
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 3 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon of each :all spice, cinnamon, nutmeg
- 1 cup buttermilk
- small jar of each:cherry perserves,apricot and pineapple
- 1 cup pecans
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
- Cream butter,sugar and eggs together
- Sift together:flour and spices
- Alternaly add the dry ingredients and buttermilk to which 1 teaspoon of baking soda has been added to the creamed mixture
- Add the perserves,pecans and vanilla
- Bake 1 hour in loaf pan that has been greased and floured. Cool 15 min.before removing form pan
- This must be baked at the tempture or it will fall in the middle
