Stuffed Pepper Cups
List of Ingredients
6 medium green peppers
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 lb. can tomatoes
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup long grain rice
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
4 oz. sharp process American cheese
salt and pepper to taste
Recipe
Cut off tops of peppers. Remove seeds and membranes. Precook peppers in boiling water (salted) for 5 minutes. Drain and sprinkle insides with salt. Lightly brown hamburger and onions. Season with salt and peppers. Add tomato, water, rice and Worces- tershire sauce. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Stir in cheese. Stuff peppers, stand upright in 10 x 6 x 1/2 inch baking dish. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
