    String Beans

    List of Ingredients




    1 pound string beans
    1 teaspoon vegetable oil
    1 garlic clove, finely chopped
    1 shallot, finely chopped
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon black pepper
    2 cups water

    Recipe



    1. Remove tips of string beans. Snap or cut beans into 1 inch pieces.

    2. Place oil in a sauce pan, saute the garlic and shallot until lightly yellow.

    3. Add the beans, salt, pepper and water. Cover and simmer over medium heat for 25 minutes until beans are tender. Serves 4.
