Strawberry Cheesecake Trifle

List of Ingredients
- 1 cup (8 ounces) sour cream
- 1/2 cup cold milk
- 1 - 3.4 oz package instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1 - 8 oz. package cream cheese, softened
- 1 - 12 oz. package cool whip, thawed
- 1 1/2 cups butter-flavored crackers, crused (i used club crackers)
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
- 2 - 21oz. cans strawberry pie filline, (or use fresh strawberries)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
- Add the sour cream; mix well.
- In a small mixing bowl, beat milk and pudding mix on low speed for 2 minutes.
- Stir into cream cheese mixture.
- Fold in whipped topping.
- Toss the cracker crumbs and butter. in a 2 1/2 quart trifle bowl, layer half of the cream cheese mixture, c rumbs and pie filling.
- Repeat layers.
- Refrigerate until serving.
- Yield: 12-16 servings.
Final Comments
For a patriotic look, replace one of the layers of strawberry pie filling with buleberry.... or use whatever filling you prefer.
