    Strawberry Cheesecake Trifle

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup (8 ounces) sour cream
    • 1/2 cup cold milk
    • 1 - 3.4 oz package instant vanilla pudding mix
    • 1 - 8 oz. package cream cheese, softened
    • 1 - 12 oz. package cool whip, thawed
    • 1 1/2 cups butter-flavored crackers, crused (i used club crackers)
    • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
    • 2 - 21oz. cans strawberry pie filline, (or use fresh strawberries)


    Instructions


    1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
    2. Add the sour cream; mix well.
    3. In a small mixing bowl, beat milk and pudding mix on low speed for 2 minutes.
    4. Stir into cream cheese mixture.
    5. Fold in whipped topping.
    6. Toss the cracker crumbs and butter. in a 2 1/2 quart trifle bowl, layer half of the cream cheese mixture, c rumbs and pie filling.
    7. Repeat layers.
    8. Refrigerate until serving.
    9. Yield: 12-16 servings.


    Final Comments


    For a patriotic look, replace one of the layers of strawberry pie filling with buleberry.... or use whatever filling you prefer.
