    The Best Butter Tarts!!

    I made these last Xmas and had so many compliments. They are by far the best!!!!


    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 cup Brown suger, packed.
    • 1/2 cup Corn syrup
    • 3 tbsp. Butter or hard margarine, softened.
    • 1 Large egg.
    • 1/2 cup Raisins.
    • 2 tbsp Medium coconut.
    • 11/2 tsp Vinegar
    • Pinch of salt.
    • 12 unbaked pastry shells; or 24 mini shells.( I buy mine)


    Instructions


    1. Cream brown sugar, syrup, and butter well in a bowl.
    2. Add egg, raisins, coconut, vinegar, and salt. Stir well.
    3. Divide among shells.
    4. Bake in 375F oven for 20 minutes for regular size; 10-15 minutes for miniture size.


    Final Comments


    These are much sweeter than regular butter tarts, but they please everyone!!!
