My own creation based off of a recipe I found on International Dutch Oven Society

    Recipe Introduction

I tried this recipe as it was and it really didn't do much for me. After some tinkering, it has been one of my most requested dishes.

To lower the fat a bit, use chicken breast instead of thighs. NOTE: You will have to cook it on Low for maybe 3 hours or less. You don't want the chicken to dry out.

    List of Ingredients

2 to 3 pounds bone in skinless turkey thighs or 4 to 5 pounds skinless chicken quarters
1 28 oz can baked bean (B&M work the best, most flavorful)
1 1/2 cups chopped onions (or to taste)
1 cup barbecue sauce (Jack Daniels Barbarque Sauce)
    1 Tablespoon spicy brown mustard
    1 Tablespoon minced garlic
    Hot Sauce to taste
1 Tablespoon brown sugar (or to taste)
    salt to taste (optional)

    Recipe

Place chicken in Dutch. Season with salt, pepper, cayenne pepper to taste. Combine the balance of the ingredients. Pour over chicken. Cook until the meat falls off the bones.(a minimum of 3 hours on high in crockpot or 5 hours on Low) Remove the bones and shred the meat, return to the pot, serve over rice, baked potato, on buns as a sloppy Joe, or just eat.
