Package of date bar mix
Chopped walnuts
Whipped dessert topping (Dream whip)



Recipe



Combine the crumb portion of one 14 oz. package date bar mix and ½ cup chopped walnuts. Stir in 2 T. melted butter or margarine. Mix well. Spread in 9x13 inch baking pan. Bake in hot oven (400 degrees) for 10 minutes. Cool and break up with fork and crumble. Prepare date filling according to package directions and cool. Place ½ crumb mixture in bottom of 10x6 inch dish. Layer date mixture and topping as you wish. Chill overnight or several hours.
