    Mary's Famous Fudge

    Source of Recipe

    Sister Mary

    List of Ingredients

    2 ½ - 3 quart sauce pan
13x9 or 9- inch square dish or oval plate
    2 Cups Sugar
2 Heaping Tablespoons Hershey’s Cocoa Powder
    1 Cup of Milk
    1 Heaping Tablespoon Peanut Butter

    Recipe

Butter the square dish or oval plate

Fill your sink about a ¼ full, or ¾ empty.

In the saucepan, mix sugar and cocoa, then add the milk.
Over high heat, bring mixture to a boil, stirring a lot to prevent scorching.
After mixture bubbles up high, it will cook down then lower heat and continue to boil for about 7 to 8 minutes. Test the mixture by dropping a drop of mixture into a cup of water, when the drop forms a solid circle (may look like a polliwog) turn off heat. Mix the peanut butter in the mixture well. Then sit pan in sink of water and beat with spoon until mixtures thicken and then pour into buttered dish.

    Cool.

    Cut.

    Eat and enjoy.
