    2 to 2&1/2 lbs. stew meat
    1 pkg. dry Lipon onion soup
    2 cans green beans (liquid drained from one can)
    chopped potatoes and carrots to taste
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 large onion chopped into chunks
    1/2 cup red wine

    I brown meat, then add other ingredients and put in a crockpot on low all day or you can bake in a large covered oven dish for 4 hours at 325 degrees.

    Just before serving I mixed one package of Pioneer brown gravy mix with a small amount of cold water and then mixed in some of the broth from the stew. When well blended mix this into the stew and it will thicken up nicely.
