- 8 SLICES WHITE BREAD
- BUTTER OR MARGARINE
- 1/2 POUND GROUND BEEF
- 1/4 CUP CHOPPED ONION
- 2 TABLESPOONS CELERY, CHOPPED
- 1TABLESPOON PREPARED MUSTARD
- 1/2 TEASPOON SALT
- 1 CUP SHARP AMERICAN CHEESE OR CHEDDER,SHREDDED
- ABOUT 4 OUNCES OF ABOVE CHEESE
- 1 EGG, SLIGHTLY BEATEN
- 3/4 CUP MILK
- 1/2 TEASPOON SALT
- DASH OF PEPPER
- 1/8 TEASPOON DRY MUSTARD
Instructions
- PRE-HEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES
- TOAST BREAD;BUTTER BOTH SIDES.
- COOK AND STIR MEAT, ONION, CLEERY PREPARED MUSTARD AND 1/2 TEASPOONS SALT UNTIL MEAT IS BROWN AND ONION TENDER
- ALTERNATE LAYERS OF TOAST, MEAT MIXTURE AND CHEESE IN GREASED BAKING PAN, 9X9".
- MIX REMAINING INGREDIENTS; POUR OVER LAYERS IN PAN.
- BAKE UNCOVERED FOR 30 TO 35 MINUTES.
